The Fantastic Four (1994)
Directed by music video director Oley Sassone, with Roger Corman and Bernd Eichinger as executive producers, this low-budget version was made so Eichinger could keep the film rights. Alex Hyde-White played Reed Richards, Rebecca Staab played Sue Storm, Jay Underwood played Johnny Storm and Joseph Culp played Doctor Doom. A planned premiere at the Mall of America in January 1994 was canceled, and the film was never officially released. Fantastic Four (2005)
Tim Story directed the first theatrical release, which opened in the US on July 8, 2005, through 20th Century Fox.
