GoMiso is a 2nd screen application, allowing TV watchers to have more fun and to be more social while watching TV. The app is available on Android, computers, iPad, and iPhones.
With GoMiso, you can check into your favorite shows to unlock badges and also earn points. The idea is to be comparing ideas and comments with fans to see who the biggest fans of the shows are. You are able to connect to Facebook and Twitter to share what you’re watching with friends and see what other people are watching and what the hottest shows are.
Miso partners with different television networks covering sport, reality shows, dramas, and comedies. Miso partners included – Fox Broadcasting Company, Oprah Winfrey Network, Showtime, Network TEN, HBO, TNT, USA Network, The Weather Channel, WE tv, Sundance Channel, Starz, LLC, Logo, Halogen TV, Food Network, USA Network, DirecTV and Comedy Central.
In October 2014, it was said that pioneering social TV service Miso will shut down. This was according to an email sent to Miso users. The shut-down came after Miso’s assets were acquired by Dijit.
