“Any time I come across the 19th and 20th century histories of China I think about this little known movie INCREDIBLY underrated despite the fact it won an Oscar in 1988. I think it's certainly one of the best biopics ever made, cinematography, set design and the unprecedented historical events that canvased it make it a straight classic. ”
